At a push our front 3 are interchangeable. I thought the runoured addition of Thomas Lemar made a lot of sense because he can play attacking midfield or wide forward roles equally as well, and then we could rotate and perm any 3 from those 4 for the forward positions. Plenty of games to go around.

 

I'm pretty certain that we'll see Ryan Sessegnon arrive and Moreno, probably, shipped out. Still not 100 % on Sessegnon as a left back, but think he'd be a revelation in a 3 man midfield.

 

We should focus on quality over quantity though and spend big on another cb and a proper midfielder to start alongside Naby and 1 other. Anything else is gravy.

we won't sign sessegnon, too much of an unknown at this level to spend 40m+ on. What I will do is trust Klopp to get it right then criticise him and the board and transfer committee when he doesn't.

Werner would be the best signing for the front three. He can play the wide roles and the Firmino role. Klopp could mould him into the next Lewandowski.

 

If Werner can play wide too then we should go all out to sign him. He’s already very good and would become world class under Klopp.

 

Werner, Keita, Rabiot, back up goalie, maybe a central defender on a Bosman given the price of the first three (but maybe Klopp might be OK with his options there now) and we are in business.

If we’re signing Fellaini I can only assume it’s a mistake. Maybe we’re signing the player via silhouette and the tall, thin frame, and mop of hair on top made us think we were signing Rabiot. It’s the only explanation I can think of.
