I don’t rate Klavan at all. Think he’s way off the required level. His strength is probably that he doesn’t make too many clear mistakes, also his passing is half decent.

 

So under the current circumstances it may make sense to keep him as an emergency solution.

 

Anyway if he gets sold I think the market will tell us his true value/level. And I predict he will not go to a club of PL standard.

Think he might be a looking for the exit since Gomez has likely got that fourth centre back slot nailed down now.  But that's just my opinion, probably comes down to who you think is aesir.

Think he is playing further forward -- maybe Arnaud can attest but he scored a nice goal over the weekend and there seems to be a highlight every couple of weeks of him busting through the middle in opposing teams third after either winning the ball high up the pitch or turning in possession.

You guys are watching more French football than I am. But he’s indeed a 8, he refused to play 6 for PSG. And so Deschamps picked up N’Zonzi ahead of him in the French squad at the WC.

I reckon van Dijk, Lovren, Gomez, Matip, and Philips is probably enough not to have to do that. I’d keep Klavan but if he wants regular footy then fair play. It’ll probably allow us to get a top player next time we are in the market.

I guess we'll just have to make do with bringing on another attacker for the last five minutes of games.  It'll be tough, but I think I'll cope.
