Just been woken up by the radio, Talkshite have Alan Brazil, Sam Allardyce and 'Arry Redknapp flagellating each other about the transfer window. I wish the fucking window would slam shut on their fucking heads.

Lazy git- I listened to the very same having been grafting away for an hour on me 2nd cup of tea

This lad Kovacic. For a few years on here a few posters are bangin on about how great he is.

So I've kept an eye out for him, the only problem is that every time I see Madrid or Croatia he is a sub, and invariably when he does get a run, he hardly touches the ball.

What am I missing?

Not embarrassed to say I'd never heard of the goalkeeper Chelsea have bought to break Alisson's record fee.

Will be pretty hilarious if Maguire goes for near the Van Dijk fee today too.

Fair fucks to Edwards and the rest of them - we're blazing a trail in terms of bringing the best players in without getting into bidding wars with other clubs. We also seem to have correctly anticipated that the market was about to get even more insane in terms of prices.

Kepa is who most Spanish people want in goal for the national team ahead of De Gea. He is decent.

He's in my file of "players I tend to rave about and say we should sign having not actually seen him play"

Along with Pjanic

The net is misleading if Keita is included this year .. as people were at a pain to include him last year too. Does it also carry over the Coutinuo excess? I imagine not? The club have spent this summer .. but hardly like the drunken sailors as being made out.

Looks like great business - time will tell. Fekir or another of similar repute would have put us right up there — without it I see us probably 6 pts back of City in second.

The football games that he becomes a star in and the hype that goes with it.

Pretty much sums up my experience too. From what little I've seen he looks decent, but when it's a big game he doesn't seem to be anywhere near the starting eleven.

David Maddock

@MaddockMirror

For those #LFC fans with undying hope...Liverpool adamant no incomings today. Not much activity in other direction either, Danny Ings will go to the wire, with Palace the only concrete bid so far, though Saints remain interested and a preferred destination

James Pearce

@JamesPearceEcho

No incomings at #LFC today and now increasingly likely there will be no exits either. Liverpool yet to receive a suitable bid for Danny Ings

Are you saying City losing De Bruyne is akin to us losing Van Dijk ?

Yes, that's what I opined in an earlier comment.

Do you have a slightly different opinion to me? Or do you just repeat opinions back to people? If so, it's a mad MO, and a crazy use of your time in my opinion, but that's just my hot take on it.

And you can quote me on that.
