Net Spend Pool

I would expect Mignolet and Lovren to be the main two outgoings who make a little bit of money. If Sturridge scores a few for West Brom we’ll get a fee for him too. Possibly Moreno too, but I think he will stay. I expect Can and Milner to leave for nothing, and Markovic to leave in January.

I would expect Alisson and Lemar to be the two expensive incoming signings, or similar in terms of quality and position. Keita is already on the way.

After that we should go for a couple of Bosmans, Meyer and Gimenez would be good, plus a couple of young prospects.

Jobs a good un, and the net spend will be about 100M or so.

That’s the sort of window we should be looking at, and if the names are off then it should be that sort of scope.

IF it’s for a lot less money, such that the neglible net spending continues (see the chart that’s been posted) OR if we sell another expensive player we don’t want to lose, without fully and clearly reinvesting the money in addition to the sort of thing I’m laying out, THEN I will be aligned with the nay-sayers who insist we are going nowhere, and Klopp is hamstrung by the owners, who are not much better than H&G, apart from PR.
