FAO: Hysterical fannies

When I see those stats re Rodgers and Klopp without any context, I often wonder what the point the person quoting them is inferring. Is it that Rodgers win percentage actually wasn't that bad, considering he's mocked relentlessly, or that Klopp is failing in actuality, despite most fans being happy with the job he's doing? Or is it about us at a ceiling unless things change behind the scenes?

At least Klopp has got us through to the knockout stages of the CL and our cup implosions tend to be early or in the finals. Not a criticism of Rodgers per se,just that Klopp seems to have pushed us on further again than Rodgers, but is still finding it tough to get across that finish line of a trophy win.

I think in some ways, FSG's mediocrity is worse emotionally for fans than if they were truly terrible. It's a gradual lowering of expectations and not enough to fight back against. Suddenly you're shit and you don't realise how you've gotten there. Neoliberalism-esque.

I think we are way better under Klopp but he has some major weaknesses.

There aren't many out there better than him so we need to back him and see where it leads.

Totally agree. There are clear weaknesses in the squad, and the starting eleven. I think he will fix them. It’s a tough journey but I think we will start looking excellent from next season. We’ve been good this season, even if these last two games have been shocking. We improved through the season. We need more players, that’s obvious; it’s frustrating to wait, and it’s easy to lash out and point fingers but he clearly wants to wait for the right players. I support that.

When some of the most hysterical fannies ever to grace the forum are warning us not to be hysterical fannies, we should probably take notice. I consider myself duly warned, and have raised the threat level on my fanny to critical.

Yep.

Hicks & Gillet = immediate death by massive explosion, resulting in a mass fightback.

FSG = gradual death by a thousand cuts, resulting in everone looking around wondering 'what the fuck has happened'?.
