I haven't had a drink since the CL final.

Liverpool have drove me to not drink.

In a way, Loris Karius has paid for your next holiday.

7 months Sober today.

Been incredibly challenging this year and the no drinking has helped me deal with and become a better person for it. It’s made me face my problems head on and I’m slowly able to get my life back on track.

Knowing my character and my personality being sober has helped me in many ways through this difficult period as it’s helped me keep a clear head and has helped me make decisions as rationally as possible.

I tell you what though, it’s been fucking horrible at the same time not being able to get completely fucking bollockesd and just forgetting about shit for once.

Anyway, if you haven’t donated yet or have already but feel compelled to throw some more in, the link is below.

I remember when I first even contemplated doing this. It took me a whole year for the thought to even become a word. But today marks 8 months Sober in memory of Jamie. So far I have Raised a magnificent total of £1,378. I know there are many of you who haven’t donated yet because you were waiting for a milestone or you were waiting on me completing the year, I urge you guys. Do it now! Keep me going, make a difference in somebody else’s lives through your donation to Mind. I’ll do the hard work.

Only just got round to donating, fair play after a very difficult year.

I had a month off booze last year when I was ill in hospital and it felt like a long time.

Well done mate. Genuinely don't have a dime to scratch my arse with but as soon as I get paid i'll be donating. Got a job interview Friday so fingers crossed. I cant imagine going 10 days without a bevy let alone 10 months. Proud of you Dan lad.  Seriously knocking the ale on the head in the new year for a few months.

I honestly never thought I’d do it. And given the adversity I’ve come through this year, it’s actually made me even more determined.

Ive been given every excuse under the sun to cave in, but I’m a man true to my word.

You just doing the full year or going to keep it up? My mate who was a serious binge drinker (worse than us) decided to do a month on new years day nearly 6 years ago decided to do a month without. He hasn't drank since. We have hardly seen him since but keep in touch.... Still calls himself an alcoholic and thats what stops him drinking. I just can't imagine stopping and never having my arms aloft pissed at 4am somewhere singing Oasis loud as fuck. Its what I strive for everytime I have a drink. Sad as it is.

To be honest, I was living for those moments. But on my own.

Its given me a proper wake up call in regards to how how I was abusing alcohol for my own depression.

Im in a much better place now and I would say that it’s down to not drinking so I’m actually very nervous about whether or not to drink again.

Just donated, then spotted on my profile that I already had back in March.  Never mind, it's well-earned mate.  Great effort, great cause.

Genuinely thankful to everyone who has donated from the site.

Im truly blessed to have such wonderful support.

I know that this started out as charity event, but it’s been truly life saving for me.

@Anny Road how you doing pal? I’ve not seen much of your posts lately. I know I’ve been off the site for large periods of time, but I hope you’re hanging on in there brother

Genuinely don’t know how you’ve got this far. It seemed to be the only thing you I can remember you posting about, after your kids. And that’s s pretty scary combination.

I honestly meant it when I said the other week that my kids were tiny babies when I last went more than a week without having a drink and I barely touch the stuff compared to most of you lot.

Fair play to you, FG. Donation incoming

    • Hope you're right fella! Not sure the other 14 PL clubs have got the memo though. Maybe UEFA and Mr Ceferin could pull some strings for us?
    • Jon Henry didn't direct any of his apology to any other club, the PL, UEFA, or FIFA.   He's not fretting.   And in my opinion, there is no chance in hell he's pulled us out without some sort of deal with them that benefits us somehow.
    • Bit of a fractured round of fixtures this week because of the FA Cup. There have been games every day since last Friday though so still plenty to get through.   Let’s kick off at the Pit last week where Spurs led once and trailed once in a game that turned out to be Mourinho’s last one in charge.   Kane scored twice while Spurs old boy Gylffi Sigurdsson did likewise for High Horse FC. Kane hit the bar with a brilliantly improvised header and then went off injured as his crisp bag ankles let him down again. He’s doubtful for the League Cup final this weekend now.   I don’t even know who they’re playing. I’m assuming it’s City but I’ve paid zero attention to it so genuinely don’t know. If they are playing City without Kane then they’ve got no chance.   Spurs sacked Mourinho the day after the Super League news broke. There were some rumours that he refused to take training in protest at it. Not sure if he was unhappy about the idea itself or the fact he was kept in the dark about it. Don’t really care. He was a genuinely awful fit for Spurs and they should never have appointed him. It was always going to end like this.   What happens next is going to be interesting. No top club is going to touch him and it remains to be seen if he can put his ego to one side and take charge of a smaller club with a lesser budget. I’d love to see him give it a go at somewhere like Newcastle or even a relegated club like West Brom or Sheffield United.   He doesn’t need the money but his reputation has been seriously eroded over the last decade. Taking over a lesser light and getting them promoted and then challenging for a European spot would be a great riposte to the accusations he only every takes the easy option.   I hope he does. There was a time when I despised him more than anyone else in football but over recent years I’ve warmed to him a bit. I’m not saying I like him, but I no longer hate him and I feel like he’s not the massive twat he once was. Much of it is an act. He’s playing a role, like last week with that “Ole is a terrible dad because he starves his kids” schtick. That was brilliant. I hope he's back soon but at somewhere that is actually going to be interesting.      This is just a teaser, click here to view the full article   Please note that PL Round Ups are only available to website subscribers. • Yep. As I said earlier, I think we've blown our chances of 4th with that late Leeds equaliser and Im normally pretty optomistic.
    • I'm firmly in the John Barnes camp on everything he says.  That man needs to be in the boardroom.
