Firmino Racism Allegations

false charges should give a 4-8 match ban like it did with Terry and Suare,

Why was the Terry ban only 4 games when they had video proof of the incident ?

Because Terry didn't call him a fucking black cunt, he was only telling him that he didn't call him a fucking black cunt so the the FA banned him for 4 matches for saying fucking black cunt even though he was only telling him he didn't say it.

So Holgate saying "He called me a *******" will see a charge for Holgate?

The FA dealing with any charges are like this

The entire Suarez situation was a farce. The FA with their kangaroo court deciding to do something because they were too scared to do nothing and be seen to condone racism. They were only ever going to find Suarez guilty in order to save their own backs.

Yes it was a farce including our handling of it at the time. The good news is it seems we have learnt from that and appear to be keeping our powder dry. But the problem for me is mud sticks and you just know Bobby is going to get dogs abuse from other clubs fans. I have no doubt Bobby is innocent.

Interesting...

I wonder how our bent FA will find a way to make a claim stick that nobody heard...

I had actually switched over to the channel showing that Juventus game about 5 minutes before the incident with Matuidi. From his reaction it was obvious he'd heard something from the spectators behind the goal. He was animatedly telling the ref about it, and the commentators thought he was asking for a penalty rather than a corner, going over various replays of the moments leading up to the ball going out of play. Matuidi had also been racially abused by fans during another game a few days earlier, and it's unfortunately still a common thing around Italy.

Racism is bang out of order of course but the point is unless someone actually hears it then a charge can't stick...but I don't trust our FA to take that kind of logical approach at all.

Tomorrow's Times (as is tonight's Mail) is reiterating that Madley's report states that he didn't hear a racial slur being used.

The Times also claim that a separate misconduct investigation has been opened against Holgate regard his homophobic Tweets.

It doesn't really clear Firmino unless Madley states what he did hear though.

I think if he says he didn't hear anything , the written statements & video evidence are looked over by 3 independent people & only if all 3 agree that there is a case to answer does it move forward.

No. But if it boils down Holgate's word against Firmino's and both gave strong accounts of their version of events, you'd argue that it could set a dangerous precedent whereby any player could make an allegation and not require any additional evidence for it to be believed. That would potentially be open for abuse.

Interestingly, the Times story appears to suggest that neither player has been interviewed yet. If so, you'd imagine that it might be a few days before we hear anything.

The precedent already exists.

Mind you, you don't expect the FA to be consistent, so anything could happen.
