Mahrez wouldn't be a daft signing as in a stop gap until the summer. His natural position is the right where he could revert back to if he wasn't cutting it on the left or slightly centre of left. We know he is versatile and can play various roles, he has a sweet free kick and delivery and he can score goals. 48 million would be a bit steep given his form over the last 6 months, but if that is the difference to getting top 4 or missing out it is cheap enough until we can circle the wagons in the summer for our main targets.
