What are the chances of this being called off?

I would say high.

According to the weather forecast:

Light snow is forecast for this morning in the city with an icy start to the day, before more rain and sleet falls later this afternoon.

Temperatures will hover around 2C all day across Liverpool, and fall to -1C around 1am.

Then eight hours of heavy snow is expected on Sunday from around 5am until 1pm - and the Met Office says more light snow will continue until 7pm tomorrow.

Damn. Let's just hope the council get the gritters out and there is enough salt on the roads and footpaths for this game to go ahead.

If it gets called off it will of course in the bitters eyes be because all our fans from Norway, London, Devon etc couldn't get to the ground - snowbound at Speke Airport etc...

Guest Pistonbroke

I can imagine us being 5-0 up after 60 minutes when it starts snowing. Big Sam would be in the officials ears telling them the wind and snow is preventing his players hoofing the ball up field.

Scoring first is vital. If we forced them to come out and play, our attack will batter them.

There's always a chance one of our clowns, take your pick, gifts them a lead and this becomes a struggle against 11 defenders.

The Chelsea result has really put the onus on us now.
