The XHV plot thickens. It seems someone has been able to mint fake XHV. They have transferred loads to the exchanges and sold, which has caused the massive dump. They've frozen the vault while they investigate, so who knows what comes next. It may have lost true fungibility, it may recover strongly as it was only ever going down due to the scam.

This drop in virtual XHV has not yet been explained.

I did notice that sometimes the increases or drops, or even the value of my portfolio, didn’t seem to match. That’s happened quite a bit when I’ve checked it. Like I have just checked and it has risen from just over £5 the other day to £8 something and I’ve got virtually the same amount in there

And again today - 23% rise from £8 odd to £10 odd, but monetary increase for me was fuck all. It’s seems a bit weird and dodgy after what you’ve said about mining fake coins. Or am I just not understanding it properly?

Haven up 138% now, with problems seemingly solved. The value of my assets are being calculated, but its slow going.

Is that what it is? Slow to adjust? That’s a bit shot then - how are you meant to react quickly and buy low, sell high and all that?

According to Spy Bee the lag works well - you have time to react to a market shift. At least that’s what I understand. I always take a screenshot of the value of an asset after purchase. That snapshot tells me more than any chart or % movement. I bought XHV at $9.31

Even though its up 131% it still hasn’t reached that price because it fell so low to begin with.

They are amending the lag to remove opportunities to exploit it. I have been too busy to read up on all the recent developments, but there is a PDF here: https://havenprotocol.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Technical-Overview-of-June-2021-Exploits.pdf

I still don't get what is going on, why do I have 38 xhv valued at £100 on kucoin when xhv price is currently £7.15??  The price shot up yesterday but kucoin still hasn't moved.

My kucoin readout 11:17am Fri 9th

It's very weird. Kucoin is not currently allowing trading, but the price on there is fluctuating, but the price on CoinEx is several times higher and at a decent volume.

It seems well shady this XHV now

Nah, it got hacked. The devs were complacent and they seem to have learned a lot. This happened to BTC and ETH back in the day too.

So is it kucoin who’s blasting me in the ass? My kucoin xhv value is currently at $12.72

As in your total holding in KuCoin is $12.72, or KuCoin is valuing each coin @ $12.72?

The latter, doesn't make sense.

The former, you probably don't need to be worrying about things!

CoinEx is definitely an outlier. You'd have to wonder what's going on there.

The obvious thing to try do is buy low on KuCoin, transfer to CoinEx, sell high, and repeat until you're loaded.

Transfers from KuCoin are not allowed at the moment, as far as I understand.

Is that just to the wallet, or between exchanges?

I think between exchanges, but I've not had the time to fully get into the detail. Like with the rollback. I literally now don't know how many XHV I own to the nearest 1000.
