How many games has coutinho played this season?.. 6 of our 13 league games and 10 in total, 10 games in 3 months -should be very fresh.

 

I'd argue he should now be just getting his rhythm going and rustiness out of his game not sitting on the bench now.

I hate this modern obsession with rotation.

 

When we won the treble in 84 we had players clocking up nearly 70 games - playing on terrible pitches, going on the ale all week and without the training advances we have now.

 

Even in 2001 players clocked up big numbers - we barely have a player who has passed 40 games a season in recent years and most are struggling to even do 30 odd.
