Leave can out, cou in midfield and put in firmino and i wouldn't mind that.

 

Coutinho and/or Lallana would probably be more effective as traditional central midfielders than Henderson, Wijnaldum and Can, on recent evidence, both in terms of passing and even winning the ball back, which says a lot given that they're both relatively lightweight creative players. At least they've got football brains, though.

Klopp would never drop Firmino but it would be interesting to play without him up front, drop a bit deeper and rely on the pace of Mané and Salah with slightly less pressing.

 

 

I've thought for while we should be going 3 at the back,  Chelsea won the title last year despite some very average players like Moses being first choice, Moron would be far better in a WB role but that ship has sailed for me, What it doesn't do though is disguise the fact we are missing a decent out and out striker, Sturridge doesn't count

My sometimes reliable mate has been told that Matip is back in. And no Can or Mané, with AOC and Sturridge both due to start. He did say that this isn't definite though.

It's because Can is carrying some kind of injury.  Klopp has already made it clear Can's contract situation, doesn't bother him.  It's not his money, it's FSGs.  He's just happy to have Can available for another season.  So I really can't see him dropping him because of the contract situation; what would it achieve? One less player to spread the load across over the busy period.

If Mané is out I hope we play Coutinho wide left. Sturridge through the middle and Firmino wide left has been horrible more times than I can remember.
