Fucking love this show, best thing I've watched in years. Really enjoy the 80s nostalgia too, the attention to detail to recreate that era is pretty mind-boggling.

She's two and a half years younger than my daughter. It always feels uncomfortable when I start ogling these young actresses. She isn't hat pretty to be honest, but does have a certain something about her.

Better than the first two series, would you say? I seem to recall you not being overly impressed with the first two.

 

I liked the first series. The 80s setting which felt extremely authentic, was impressive, but I thought the storyline was good, not brilliant, so I didn’t bother with the second one. That said, I’m not a huge sci-fi fan.

I had to Google how old she was after I watched the last episode.

Back to the show, the best 2 characters from this season were Robin and Steve. Erica was boss too.

 

Soooo many movie references from 80's movies and charaters from Die Hard (You're a policeman. Policeman have rules) to Terminator.

I think this one was the most coherent of the three in terms of the story, which helped a lot.

That was ace. Watched it over the last 2 days and the ending is up there with Toy Story 3 for getting dust in the eyes.

Finished it a couple days ago. Thought it started kinda slow honestly but once it got going it was great.

As far as Maya Hawke goes, sure she's not spectacularly pretty but the character she played got the most out of her looks and makes her more way more attractive in that context.

Found it quite cringeworthy compared to the other two. Good overall, but probably least favourite so far.

ST1 was very good and innovative.

ST2 was just more of the same but bigger and more CGI but still very enjoyable.

ST3 less CGI, more character driven, more atmosphere. Absolutely top notch stuff

Finished it last night, really enjoyed it, probs the best of the 3 so far imo.

 

Not sure how to insert Spoiler text anymore but really pleased that both Ricky Bobby and the fat Magnum snuffed it, would have like it more if that prissy cunt Nancy and the fat frizzy fucker Duthtin had both have been slaughtered by the Mindflayer too.

The ending when the two russian soldiers pull the prisoner out of the cage and they say "not the american". Do you guys think he survived? Maybe went through the portal?

Might pass on this. Thought the first one was great but didn't get into the second, which was the last series of anything I watched I think. Originally before it was released I was looking forward to it because it seemed like it was going to be focused on conspiracy theories connected to the Montauk Project (Montauk was the original name of the series too) placing it more in X-Files-type territory. The first series had some of that stuff but thought it was lacking a bit even though I enjoyed it, the second had way less though and I stuggled to stay interested which put me off eventually I think.

 

Hardly watch any tv/netflix stuff now, might wait until august though and watch the latest season of Agents of Shield when that's done instead.
