Favourite Songs About: Anger

Recommended Posts

A slight change of pace from most of the rage songs on here, but still angry as fuck.

Dixie Chicks - "Not Ready to Make Nice"

Here's the back-story

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_Ready_to_Make_Nice

In 2003, they made some public comments slagging Dubya over the invasion of Iraq.  The Country Music establishment shunned them and they ended up on the shitty end of a pretty virulent hate campaign.

Three years later, after "Mission Accomplished" (*ahem*) Nashville was ready to welcome them back.  Their co-writer, Dan Wilson, suggested tackling the incident in a conciliatory song.  The Chicks themselves said "Fuck that!" - and ended up having a massive hit and winning awards with this.

Guess not "anger" as such, but ace none the less- excuse the pun

Now you're officially an owl arse, wouldn't you prefer some easy listening?  A nice bit of Val Doonican or Roger Whittaker, maybe?
