A slight change of pace from most of the rage songs on here, but still angry as fuck.

 

Dixie Chicks - "Not Ready to Make Nice"

 

 

 

Here's the back-story

In 2003, they made some public comments slagging Dubya over the invasion of Iraq.  The Country Music establishment shunned them and they ended up on the shitty end of a pretty virulent hate campaign.

 

Three years later, after "Mission Accomplished" (*ahem*) Nashville was ready to welcome them back.  Their co-writer, Dan Wilson, suggested tackling the incident in a conciliatory song.  The Chicks themselves said "Fuck that!" - and ended up having a massive hit and winning awards with this.
