I'm just watching play against Dortmund and he's got his socks rolled up over his knees and halfway up his thigh like 70's female pornstar. He's going to have to knock that fuckin bollocks in the head before he comes here.

I couldnt care less really....... Barnes used to wear gloves when it wasnt that cold.

If he is World class on the pitch, il forgive the ridiculous socks issue, im sick of watching our overrated fannys

Can't help thinking that Firmino up front means Salah and Mane score more than Lukaku would. Some of his movement is excellent.

He, Gomez, Gini, Salah and Moreno were very good today. And Henderson best performance this season, still not sure it is good enough.

Don't agree comment about Henderson . He tracked back and defended but offered nothing in attack, No shots, no incisive passing , no visible leadership very little winning the ball high up the pitch, just an endless succession of sideways passes and getting behind the ball.

Just finished watching the match. Well played the lads. Gave it everything out there. We were the better side but infuriatingly we did not turn that into three points. We had a few chances and they had one chance, but I’m not too upset with our lads as Man Utd came to Anfield and dug in with plenty of men behind the ball. Cowards actually. I honestly thought they would come and give us a game since they’ve been hammering everyone week in week out, but Mourinho (can’t stand him) set his stall out for a point and got it, and anything more, say on the break or from an error, he’d have welcomed obviously.

We were resolute in defence and just didn’t quite have enough of a cutting edge to make their negativity irrelevant.

I’m staying positive. We will start getting more points soon. The performances have, by and large been there. It will come.

Henderson was top notch today, hope he keeps it up.

We are also only 3 points (If Chelsea and Arsenal both win) off the top 4, not exactly wrist slitting time. We were never going to have a squad to challenge for the title, even if we had signed VVD or brought Keita in earlier. Top 4 challenge again is the likely scenario and to try and get as deep as possible in the CL.

On par with Arsenal and Plastics; we need to beat our whipping boys next.

With arsenal losing we are only 2 points off the top 4. In the big scheme of things it is fuck all, despite our form. Things aren't easy in the PL, teams are always going to lose points and it has been more often than not over the last few seasons. We need improvement, we need better players, but we aren't that far off all things considered.

Good performance, unlucky to not get 3 points. The criticism on here is crazy. Yep we’ve made a lot of individual errors this season but the actual performances have been decent. Even in the City game I thought we were the better team until the sending off.

We were never going to win the league with the signings we made in the summer so consolidating top 4 should be our aim. We’re there or there abouts despite some infuriating results. Onwards and upwards.

I thought we did ok, but frustratingly this season seems to be about missed chances as much as an inconsistent defence. We didn't create a load of chances, but we created enough to have secured all 3 points or at least opened the game up a bit.

Mourinho was always going to come for the draw and hope for a counter/set piece win. He knows how to nullify our threat and other teams have copied that template. Was anyone surprised he played that way? That is really all they had to do. They've beaten all the dross this year (unlike us). This was their toughest game so far and because of their previous results they did not have to push for a win. As much as we all dislike him and what he stands for in football he's no idiot and knows what's needed. He knows the other top teams will come to Anfield and will struggle to get points so a draw for him is a good result if they keep beating the rest. I was hoping our front 3 would be too much for them, and on a few occasions it looked like it would be, but if you don't take the chances then you're not going to give yourself a chance to win the game.

I think we have a squad, that if it remains relatively injury free, should make top 4 again - just. Don't think we've really pushed on from last year, but perhaps with Keita, and a couple of other good signings  in the summer, we can next year (although it feels like we say that every year). We just need to make sure we don't lose ground this year.

Incredible save that.  If you watch his left leg, it looks like it's leaving the floor to give spring to a dive, but his reactions are so quick, it doesn't actually touch the ground again.  Not only does he not put it down when he should, he elevates it to make the save!

It was fantastic.

No complaints about the result.

There's the difference between one point and three points right there.

The only way Matip could do better there was to mis-hit it.
