None of these suggestions would do well due to the system we set up with. I’m struggling to think of any defender period that would thrive here. It’s a system issue more than anything.

Doesn't annoy me at all, I find it amusing sometimes. Each to their own I suppose. As has been stated by others our system puts huge pressure on centre backs, your opinion is Maguire would suit it, mine and most on here think he would not.

My opinion is that our system exposes most defenders, but Maguire would still perform better in our system than all of our existing centre halfs, due to him being better at defending than all of them.

I would disagree due to the fact that Maguire has never played in a set up with very much turf behind him, for good reason. He is not the most nimble of fellas. He could help on set pieces - maybe we could sub him in for corner kicks.
