Transgender stuff - what's going on?

He's still right. Trans men (female) have cervixes and require screening. Not a complicated subject, really.

This:

"Her statement brought her into conflict with trans rights supporters who say that people born male who now identify as women are truly women, regardless of their anatomy.

The idea is encapsulated in the slogan 'trans women are women'."

Is utter nonsense (whether it comes from the people that complained at Duffield or the reporter or other activists) and just leads to politicians floundering and people generally being scared of their own shadow, but I guess that's the aim of the activism.

The aim of the activism is to protect women and women’s rights.   Crazy that the left allowed men’s rights activists to gain such control.

edit:  only women have a cervix.  A woman calling herself a man still has one. This isn’t magic.

How can call yourself a male and have a cervix? Biologically is that not impossible?

Is it not the same as Trans women not having ovaries or a womb so they can’t bare children or have menstrual cycles?

Male is a biological term and so, yeah, they wouldn't have a cervix. Trans men are biologically female and so do.

According to the census there are around 50k of them in the country, about the same number as trans women (who are biologically female and would not have wombs, as you say). Although, has to be said around 100k people did not define their gender identity, while also saying it was different to their sex at birth, so we don't know the exact numbers still...

That census data is compromised because of the framing of the questions.  Unless you think there is a cluster of trans people in a poor area of London heavily populated by non English speakers.

The people answering the question are more problematic than those that didn’t.  Because the census was compromised by a stupid ideology.

Unless you think Newham has more trans people than Brighton?

Dr Who thinks women who don’t believe men are women should just shut up.

Perhaps more accurately, Dr Who, father of a non-binary child, thinks dog whistling culture wars proponent politician should shut up irrespective of said persons gender or ethnicity.

Womens and Equality Minister should shut up on women’s and equality issue? Unique take.
