Essex schoolgirls sexually assaulted in gender-neutral toilets

A school has called in police over allegations that female pupils were sexually assaulted in its gender-neutral lavatories.

A teenage boy has been arrested over four allegations of “serious sexual assault” at the Essex school. The Daily Telegraph understands three of the alleged attacks took place in lavatories used by boys and girls.

The case has led MPs and campaigners to question the safety of mixed-sex lavatories and changing rooms days before the Government is expected to release its transgender guidance for schools.

The guidance is expected to say that students should not be allowed to use facilities designed for the opposite sex, but the advice on mixed-sex lavatories remains unclear.

The school, which is not being named by the Daily Telegraph to protect the identity of the victims, had not carried out an impact assessment on the provision of gender-neutral lavatories.

It could not answer questions on whether other lavatories which are designated male or female could be accessed on the basis of biological sex or a pupil’s gender identity because it does not have a written policy.

So... a school that has separate male and female toilets also has gender-neutral toilets (like, disabled toilets or individual lockable toilets?) has reported some allegations of sexual assault.  From the available information, there's very little reason to assume that the location of the alleged attacks is relevant and even less reason to imagine that this story belongs in this thread.

A professor and two students were stabbed Wednesday during a class on gender issues at a university in the Canadian city of Waterloo, and a suspect has been taken into custody, police said.

Nick Manning, associate vice-president of communications for the University of Waterloo, identified the suspect as a member of “the university community” but declined to confirm the individual is a student. He said two students and a professor were stabbed.

Manning said the stabbing occurred in Philosophy 202, which, according to the university website, focuses on “gender issues.”

Yusuf Kaymak, a student at University of Waterloo, told CTV News he was in the class.

“The guy basically walked in and asked the teacher if he was the professor, he said ‘yeah’ then he pulled out a knife and after that, everybody just ran out,” Kaymak said to CTV.

I'm assuming this is some kind of play on words labeling him a collaborator and not confirmation that Owen uses Vichy skincare products to get that oft glowing complexion.

Mermaids being investigated by Charity Commission.  All because they tried to take away the charitable status of LGB Alliance.  Good old Jo Maugham again.

Maugham has continued his proud record of defeat this morning, he and the child mutilators of Mermaids failed to overturn LGB Alliance's charitable status.

That's not the full story.

On a technicality, it was found that Mermaids didn't have "standing" to bring the case, because they weren't "directly affected" by LGBA's status. (They are taking advice on whether to challenge the point about standing, because "directly affected" isn't defined in statute.). However, the two judges on the Tribunal did give the issue consideration and were divided: so, one of them agreed that LGBA's hate-speech shouldn't be subsidised with tax breaks.  If the case had been permitted to go ahead, it could have gone either way.

Imagine describing the free association of same-sex attracted people as "hate speech". Just imagine being that clueless.

Gay people deserve to be able to organise without being termed sexual racists by the organisations that are supposed to represent them.
