This is the thing. I couldn't care less if a woman dressed as bloke walked into the men's toilets, but when the situation is reversed there is an element of threat.

 

This is the fundamental issue, it's nothing to do with bigotry. A lot of women simply do not feel safe around men when they're in vulnerable positions, be it in changing rooms or - who'd have thought it - prisons and domestic violence shelters. 

 

I've never felt threatened in a taxi, I've never felt vulnerable walking through a park. Women do every day.

 

This is clearly something the Owen Jones's of the world can't or won't relate to.

The thing is, that child is likely to be told they are trans by the parents. In a few years they’ll take the child to a therapist to start the ‘journey’ to changing sex. If that therapist asks “are you sure you want to do this?” that would be considered conversion therapy. Imagine not being able to ask that question?

So many good quotes in that piece but this is my favourite “My husband and I took to asking whether she felt like a boy or girl” . The poor little kid is only 4. The parents obviously desperately want a trans kid, like some kind of middle class status symbol. It used to be a Tuscan farmhouse, now it’s changing your kid’s gender before they are old enough to object.

I mean it’s not like every person would recognise the first set of silhouettes as women. You could go to any country in the world and one of those silhouettes on a toilet door would be immediately recognisable as the ladies.

Ha ha yea mate.  The fact that an agency on some instances looking after children, prescribing them life changing drugs and putting them on the pathway to surgery has been found to be that poor it has to be closed, that it’s record keeping is that poor that no claim can be made to its treatment strategy, that numerous whistle blowers have been vindicated - nothing to see.
