This man accused women of ‘hoarding rights’ yesterday and today he’s just making things up. One thing he’s sure of TWAW

I haven't listened to this, but I just wanted to say that David Lammy is a prick.  With a fucking cervix for all I know.  Identifies as he/him/cunt.

He’s just said on radio that 1 in 4 trans people commit suicide. It’s mental.

I don't know whether 25% have committed suicide, but around 40% of transgender / non-binary adolescents have tried to commit suicide.

Quote

RESULTS: Nearly 14% of adolescents reported a previous suicide attempt; disparities by gender identity in suicide attempts were found. Female to male adolescents reported the highest rate of attempted suicide (50.8%), followed by adolescents who identified as not exclusively male or female (41.8%), male to female adolescents (29.9%), questioning adolescents (27.9%), female adolescents (17.6%), and male adolescents (9.8%). Identifying as nonheterosexual exacerbated the risk for all adolescents except for those who did not exclusively identify as male or female (ie, nonbinary). For transgender adolescents, no other sociodemographic characteristic was associated with suicide attempts.

Terrible.  Over 80% will turn out to be gay and leave the trans stage behind.

And of those that do transition the suicide rate stays the same.

@Rico1304 you need to investigate a load of posters who claim to be men, but vote for The Carpenters.

Every one of them either is or has a massive fanny.

Are you saying that a person has to be either trans or gay/non masculine to like The Carpenters?

I’ve seen some of your musical choices.

There's a white woman who has done just that and had her skin pigmentation altered so she has a dark skinned appearance. And she has, of course, been roundly ridiculed for it. As well she might because she looks ridiculous.

Pics or gtfo.

So, you either have inclusion or fairness but you can’t have both.  Pretty clear guidance and common sense prevails.

This quote stands out:

"The difference in performance, even at the lower range of 10-12%, is not small in terms of competitive outcomes,” they add. “It would result in Adam Peaty being beaten by half the pool length in a short-course 100m breaststroke competition, Dina Asher-Smith by more than 20m in the 200m track sprint, and Sir Mo Farah being lapped twice in the 10,000m track race."

Yes. And there’s page after page on this thread saying it really doesn’t matter as it only girls and even girls only play for fun.

I just popped in here to post the BBC Sport sprout on this, and wondered how you were going to react, and I’m pleased to see you’re positive

i agree the summary I’ve read in the article (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/58732146) reads as common sense to me.

it’s also important to say, I think, that it’s not always considered that you can’t have both inclusion and fairness, but ‘often’ can’t have both.

I wrote, I think in response to Moo, that I thought the noise about sport was too simplistic and that at non elite level inclusion is often more important than the advantage being gained, but ultimately the authorities need to continue to review and adapt policy as they better understand it and that they’ll get things wrong here and there but hopefully get it closer to right overall in the long run.

for me this feels like a positive step toward that.

Can’t help yourself.

Adult solution to an adult problem, Bruce said.

Then childish comment from a child sits beside it.

There’s also page after page of “I just want to be able to call people who tell me they feel like they’re women blokes whether they like it or not because I’m an arsehole who knows better than them.”

piss off with the constant snide, Rico.

Fuck right off.

You’ve spun this as if it vindicates your position of ‘can’t we just be nice’ which it absolutely doesn’t.  Womens sports are important and your blinkered view of being a bit shit and therefore not caring means fuck all.

And for the record, about every 5 pages or so I reiterate I am happy to call someone what they want me to call them.  But it doesn’t make them that thing.

The safety aspect is vitally  important too.  This guidance will have a bearing on contact sports and whether clubs can obtain insurance.

Simple solution is an open category and then  womens sports.

This will probably be the way forward. Allow anyone to compete with people who were born men and a seepage category protecting the integrity of women's sport and the safety of women.

However, the turd in the grass will be setting the definitions of women.
