I reserve the right to think what I like about people. I am evolved enough to appreciate when my thoughts if transferred to actions would be offensive or hurtful. therefore they remain as thoughts.

 

Anti-semitism, homophobia and Nazism in my view are direct actions against against a group. Bit different than a private idea that someone is a bit weird.

You cited two things which you believe are equally deserving of tolerance: the first is what people are; the second is how you act. These things are really not the same.

 

People are what they are (in respect of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, etc.) and anyone who wants to treat them differently as a result is morally a twat and legally out of order.

 

On the other hand, people are responsible for their own opinions and actions and it's totally legitimate to call them out on any shitty opinions. 

 

Like Dr King (sort of) said, it's alright to call someone a twat for what they say and do, but not for their "protected characteristics".

I separated thoughts from action. I would never treat anyone differently based on their 'gender'.

I still reserve the right to my opinion of them. Be that weird or otherwise.
