Transgender stuff - what's going on?

Trans athletes should have their own category.  No good will ever come from trying to shoehorn them into a category that, for whatever reason, and to whatever degree, they do not fit.  Let them fight/race/throw/lift amongst him/her/themselves.  This whole debate takes up an inordinate amount of time and space.

Yes.  Women are not men with lower T levels.

The question was about the strength of transwomen v cis women, not whether women with lower T levels are men. My question was reasonable.

T levels don’t take into account bigger heart, lungs, better eyes better aim, faster recovery, more fast twitch muscles, shape of the pelvis, angle of the femur etc etc.  T levels were always a poor measure.

When you’ve got T levels down to a level on a par with women you’ve still got a man with all the advantages above.

Might be difficult as there would be some single athlete events.  In fact I could find a niche event, be the only competitor and…still find a way to be last

R4 now is a bit of a car crash interview on the subject where you've got one person asking resonable questions and another, Veronica Ivy, starting from the point that you're a bigot for asking, a perfect encapsulation of where the debate is and why it's good that the grown ups are now in the room making decisions.

Ivy claims that there is absolutely no advantge to being born male and going through male puberty as 'In the legal framework they are female in law and therefore are women, so that distinction doesn't matter' farcicle argument.

Robinson then says 'Should we just remove gender considerations so it's an open field to take away any considerations?'

'No, as that's a different argument completely'

'No. it's not'

'Er, yeah, something something...'

Seem to be getting to a good point with all of this now with the hyperbolic language being repleced by semi sensible conversations based on objective reality.
