Ok here we go, Salah can play all across the front 3, but prefers the right. I agree on buying a CB, but with the Chamberlain money. Oh and Salah is a far, far superior player. But to be fair to you mate you tend to think differently than most.

Trying to argue that we couldn't/shouldn't have upgraded our keeper - got in an upgrade at LB and got in at least one upgrade at centre half to improve first choice and depth (fucking hell Lucas started loads of games there last season) especially given the extra demands that the extra workload this season brings is just being contrary for the sake of it IMO.

 

Klopp is gambling massively by not doing so and sadly I think that gamble is going to bite us hard when push comes to shove.

He's better than what we have.. and he was relatively cheap.. this snobbishness re players from lower clubs is a bit embarassing really. Our best player Mane came from Southampton FFS.

You have a deluded idea of how good you think the PL is. The money spent guarantees teams will challenge in Europe but outside 2 or 3 clubs the technical standard is dogshit. Which makes it even more maddening how shite we are when it comes to the crunch in a poor quality group of teams.

These days 99% of the most talented players are taken onboard by top clubs while still in their teens. Even early teens in most cases.

 

So finding quality or talents in the lower leagues are far less likely than it was in the 70s and 80s.

This always the victim chant is defo about Hillsborough. I thought it would pipe down after the findings but it's still carried on. That and the Steven Gerrard chant are heard at most away grounds and by the away section at Anfield. Hardly any fans can sing about their own team and the always the victim chant gets a reaction. Then when people get pulled about it they say it's got nothing to do with Hillsborough because they are shit houses.

To be honest City fans are a bigger joke than Evertonians. Theyre the most parochial of the 4 big Merseyside/Mancunian clubs. Pitiful bunch who barely fill the ground even on big games. No different to your Stokes or Crystal Palaces; though far less vociferous than those two.

So, first 20 mins and we see some of the problems with our midfield.  Like here, failing to stop a shot on target in the first 6 mins.

Now we get to the first goal, and notice as City win a header in the centre circle, almost passing the header to De Bruyne, in the centre circle, with none of our midfielders within 10 yards of him.

He then turns around and has the time, and the space, to be able to play a straight pass through the middle of all 3 of our midfielders and both our centre backs, with Klavan obviously 3 yards too deep and playing 2 City player onside.  Mignolet then comes out and makes it easy for Aguero.  1-0.
