Aye, didn’t happen. Not especially surprising really.

 

We all hoped for more but it didn’t happen.

 

The late adopters on the “down with FSG” bus will be looking for a big summer window or else the numbers of fans looking sideways at the owners will swell.

 

I want to see £100M net spend (or thereabouts) by the end of the summer or else all those who say the Coutinho fee was spent on yacht varnish will have a point.

 

OK, the window has closed. Started great. Ended meh. Now we move on. We all think it’s risky but we will see what happens the rest of the season.

Exactly. The manager spoke recently about needing players from outside. So it’s oretty clear he will want players this summer. Hopefully we’ve got some deals being worked on right now.

 

It’s a gamble, but I think it’s a gamble being made by Klopp rather than the money not being there. The summer will be huge. We need to build quality and depth. If we get it right, Klopp could be building an era of success. Get it wrong and it’s starting all over again.
