So... about starting James Milner in attack instead of Mané in a CL qualifier.  Glad we didn't try that little experiment.

TAA is boss going forward. Apart from Gerrard and Aurelio he's probably the best crosser of the ball we've had for the last 20 years.

Stewart Downing, Charlie Adam and Jemain Pennant might disagree with that.

My best bit is when we goaled them to bits

Was ace, wasn't it?

Being on it for 25 minutes and scaring the living shit out of European teams, who had grown up terrified of Anfield.

So if we don't sign anyone in the time left is that tantamount to saying that if we don't get top four next season then we really are truly fucked?

It will be criminal if we don't boost the squad with quality as it's been a very long time since I've seen an attack as good as this, it is in my mind the equal of any in Europe, and to not give it the protection at the back it deserves would be shocking.

The thing is our team is ripe for that cunt Mourinho to exploit it all day long.

Fuck me! 4 - 1 up, 6 - 2 aggregate and you still don't feel secure. I'd have given a fair few 4's if you asked me to rate straight after the game, with a bit of reflection we were a lot better. As for the draw, pick the hardest one - that is our group, pick the easiest one, that is Uniteds.

Man U always get an easy group that is true. We've had a reasonable range though I reckon, some easy, one or two bastards.

The old rankings was set up for that. But still, they managed to luck it every time. I bet you they get that Quarage (?) Shit from the 4th pot.

We do, but not for every game, so I get why he won't spend big. Last night yes, we needed one but against Palace we didn't and probably won't on Sunday.

Was a great goal.

Enjoyed the game last night, but I had forgotten that they don't serve beer in the ground on Euro games. I found out as we asked the girl behind the bar in the main stand for a pint of Carlsberg. She said "Sorry no beer tonight.". So I said to my mate "Come on let's go somewhere else".

She replied "None of the counters are serving beer". I was sobbing a little inside, as I was explaining my great gag to her.

FFS Jockey, this is getting stupid now ( not you particularly,  the whole moaning on here )

Our first half performance was probably in the top 5 forty-fives I have seen in the CL over the past 5 years or so & we are giving a ' fair few 4's '.

I know there are issues to be addressed , but I am starting to wonder when we stopped being knowledgeable fans & just became total whingeing, miserable gets.

    • Jürgen Klopp has spoken of his true joy in getting his squad back together for full-scale training ahead of the resumption of the Premier League season on the 17th of June.

The Reds stand on the cusp of a deserved title victory, needing just two more wins from their remaining fixtures to clinch number 19.

Rather than making up for lost time, Klopp told the Official site that he is taking a methodical approach.

“We could work on all the things we wanted to work on.

“The first week was already really good with the small groups, I enjoyed that as well, because it was just important to get on track again, to get used to the pitch and ball and boots and all that stuff.

“And now we work on tactical things, that works really well.

“We don't have to be match-fit now.

“We try it with increasing intensity, day by day, but we have to be fit on the 19th or 20th, whichever day they will give us against Everton, I think.

“That’s the moment when we want to be at 100 per cent."

Once the season resumes in earnest, it will be the best part of three months since a competitive match was played.

In that time, players have been able to give their mind and body a rest, but with everything set to be condensed, the manager feels one season will roll into the next.

“It is a roundabout three weeks until the resumption.

“That is good. We want to use that and we will. It’s our pre-season; how I said, we don’t expect a long break in between the seasons, so this is a very important period for us.

“We never had nine weeks without football training in our lives – since we played football, pretty much. That’s all different but interesting as well.

“We enjoy the situation, that’s really all good.

“And it makes all the difference for us, to be honest, to come together and have this hour or two here together.

“You get this contact, feedback as well on the pitch directly, not via a computer or a screen. It's a massive, massive lift."

The next step in the process is the actual dates of when the remaining fixtures will be played.

Klopp says that is something the whole squad is looking forward to hearing about.   "Now of course, it’s more and more interesting when we play where, the times are really important because we will see how we can organise the travel stuff.    "So, the situation keeps us busy, that’s absolutely OK.   "But on the pitch everything is fine, that’s really great.   "Around, we organise it as good as possible and use the situation.”
