Drugs

I saw what smack and crack did to someone in the family as a young teenager and didn't do anything. Never smoked so didn't touch weed either, mostly because I didn't want to smoke.

The reaction to the morphine I had in ITU put me off trying anything. I don't know much about it but very disturbing dreams(I was on very high levels of morphine and then induced into a coma so can't separate time frames). I was told I was trying to fight off treatment and babbling people where trying to kill me, added to terrible thoughts. That has completely put me off trying anything trippy otherwise I likely would have tried mushrooms or ayahuasca

Coke mainly, but if I'm out, Pepsi will do too.

BTW, reading the thread, I always thought MDMA and ecstasy are the same thing? Am I missing something?

When you’re from the streets like some of us and using drug slang, MDMA refers to the active ingredient in its powder form and ecstasy in Gary form.

I wish I could take drugs more often, but everyone's grown up so the opportunities don't present themselves very often these days. So my only options are the occasional bit once or twice a year, get off my face in my living room on my own, or be that weird guy in his 30s who always goes out to clubs and tries hanging round with much younger people.

Drugs are great, but you need to know where the line is.

It’s tedious as fuck once it moves away from the camouflage of youth (a definition usually stretched past breaking point on this subject as it is) where everyone else around you is doing it too.

Popped round to see a good mate the other night at tea-time and he was gurning and sniffing and speaking top speed at me for half an hour without drawing breath.

Most of it being some repetition of “Why don’t you ever come round anymore, we never see you nowadays.”

Aye, it’s a poser like.

Yeah. Cant stand that when you are out with mates and they decide to get a bag of beak and completely change the dynamic of an otherwise decent day, laughs... company. Kind of makes you just wanna bail on the sly and get a train home.....

I like to buy sherbet dib dabs and pretend I'm doing a line.

Cheese. Surely cheese is a drug? Cheese.

As it happens it’s the name of probably the strongest weed available now.

Which still isn’t one iota as addictive or enjoyable as cheese cheese.

I knew I had a drug problem when I realised the following morning that the night before, I was trying to dance to Soul II Soul's back to life EP.

It’s a cracking song tbf. Masters at Work remix of it is fantastic too.
