Was in banging in free kicks for the reserves?

I'm sure he scored a free-kick goal for England Under 23s (the ones who won the tournament recently I believe with Solanke in the same team.)

He played for the reserves exactly how he played tonight.

Going forward he's a level above the U23s, just completely dominant.  Actually dominant, not just "has a good moment now and again," but dominant in the way Gerrard was where he just takes over games from time to time.

Defending he's still very raw.  Saw it again tonight with their goal, putting his hand up for offsides (not realising that Lovren was AGAIN!! two steps behind everyone playing Uth onside) instead of playing to the whistle.  That would be typical of the kind of lapses in concentration he's showed in the youth sides.

Then again, it's worth it when you get that kind of delivery and quality up front from a right back.  You'd take a player who scores you a wondergoal and then gives away a big chance to the opposition every game, no?

As Klopp teaches him to defend at this level I think he'll be a monster.  And how good will it be to have a scouser back in the side week in and week out again?
