I'm really surprised that this thread is active today.  He was as good as any of our players - or rather, nowhere near our worst.

That arm pull incident was insane, of course, but aside from that, he was fine.

The other flank, conversely...

I've been saying for a while he needs replacing but he was fine today other than that stupid shirt holding at the end.

Their equaliser was the result of about four mistakes before the cunt got lucky & scuffed the ball through Robbo's legs. That can happen to any player, regardless of how well or badly they're playing.

Nah, he’s not close enough to him for me, and not a good blocking technique either. Yes, Amad gets lucky with a scuffed shot, but Robbo’s weak attempt at a block makes Allison’s positioning look bad as well. You simply have to either get a foot on that ball or cover it with closed (ish) legs.

It wasn’t as bad as the other week when he totally turned his back on someone in the penalty area though, thought the lads went very easy on him there.

I am just as worried about him as I am Trent, actually, but for other reasons.

I would give Tsimikas a run in the team to see if he can hold down a spot and not be involved in every other goal we let in. Evaluate in the summer who of them stays on, but we need a new left back, of that there is no doubt.

He should have been closer to Amad there in the box.

He gives us absolutely nothing going forward though, and constantly breaks our offside line. He’s a complete liability when defending set pieces, as he is never looking at what the defensive line does.

Seldom I agree with Code, but he has been involved in every other goal we’ve let in lately.

Unlike Trent, he gave his all today.

I just don't think he's quite good enough any more. He's been a great servant to the club and at his best he was one of the best left backs we've ever had. However, he's well past his best at this point and will only go downhill from here.

Not saying he's rubbish, it's just that we don't actually have that many weak links, and he'd be one that would be possible to upgrade.

Yeah giving your all is of course great - but you and I would give our all, not being up to it can't be covered by giving your all.

That was stupid at the end there with the holding, but aside from that, he was ok I thought. He maybe could have done better with the 2nd, but so could everyone in the build up and the keeper on the shot. Honestly, if we'd have had 11 players put the effort in he did yesterday and made as few mistakes, we'd have won that game comfortably.

Get the kid from Bournemouth in to learn the ropes from Robbo. He’s a very good player who is no doubt signing for one of our rivals if we dither about

You say that like we like buying players at the top of their value. Everyone is after him and he's playing in the PL. He'll cost a fortune. Unless Hughes has struck some magical deal with his Bournemouth mates or knows there's a release clause he can exploit, there's not a chance he'll join us.

I just have a feeling we might be in for him. Maybe Dom will put in a word.

Even if we got a decent wedge for Robbo and Tsimikas, there’s no way we’re paying what they’ll want for him. One of the mancs will though.

Alisson. Honestly I can’t believe that went in. Look at the goals he’s conceded since he got back. Maddison’s, Solankes, Ayew, Diallos.

Awful. Just not sharp.

The clown at the other end of the pitch saves that with ease. Everything’s going right through him now.

We fell off a cliff when him and Trent were brought back into the team on the run in last season after having a solid defence. Apart from the terrible fuck up at Newcastle, Kelleher has been far better than him and id put him back in.

Dont be such a pessimist! We will be creating songs for him by the end of the month!
