It was a goal, so obviously this is really stupid, but did anyone else think Robbo played the wrong ball for the second goal?

Jota was in acres of space and screaming for an easy rolled pass into his feet, but instead he went with the loft over the back to Ox.

Interesting argument.

To paraphrase Sir Bob 'Put the ball in the net and we'll talk about everything else afterwards.'

I see it's a friendly vs Poland in place of the qualifier vs Ukraine, so hopefully he will get a rest.

I may have imagined this but I'm sure I heard a commentator say they will also have a friendly against Wales if Wales lose.

You didn't. Scotland will now play a friendly in Austria on Tuesday as Wales have progressed to the playoff final.

I believe that the intention all along was for Scotland or Ukraine to play the losing side of Wales vs. Austria. Obviously, the Scotland vs. Ukraine semi has been postponed until the summer and Poland were given a walkover against Russia, so the SFA and the Polish FA decided to last night's friendly in place of the respective playoff games.

Robbo is the most complete fullback we've had since Stevie Nicol.

Can’t agree with that.  Trent is much more like Nicol, in that he could play more or less anywhere.  Both two footed players, with enough skill, strength and pace for most occasions.  And Trent is a fantastic dead ball specialist.  Trent is the best FB we’ve had since Phil Neal.

I loved Phil Neal.

I would go as far as to say he's better than Phil Neal - although obviously there's been a long time between them both and the game has changed enormously. And Trent will have some challenge on his hands to match Neal's medal haul.

Robbo is boss too like. I'm not sure we've had many better left backs. Well maybe except when Nicol played there.

Agree. After Klopp looks like a post apocalyptic football wasteland in my head.

I dreaded Bill, Bob, Joe and Kenny leaving the club. I'll be wary of what happens when Jurgen leaves but I dont think we'll fall off a cliff either.

Jurgen has worked wonders but the club has a better working of transfers now than at any time.

I think the relationship between how good our signings have been and Jurgen Klopp as manager is inextricable.

The evidence for this is what happened at Dormund, what happened here with the transfer committee, and what happens with every other club with managers who aren't really that good.
