Games like that in Europe with clean sheets etc will give his confidence a massive boost. Getting European games under your belt like that and you start turning into an experienced player step by step. Before you k ow it, in a couple of year playing in Europe you’ve got yourself a proper solid experienced player.

His crossing was excellent last night. That has been the only thing missing. He was just generally excellent. Clearly a better defender and all around player than Moreno, and if he gets the final ball to the level it was last night, I think the spot is his.
