Welcome to the new and improved TLW!

Some of you may experience issues logging in and will get an 'incorrect password' error. Don't worry, you haven't typed it in wrong and your password hasn't been changed. You will need to reset it though in order to log in. Click the reset password link and you will receive an email with your new temporary password. Once logged in, you need to choose a new password (or restore to your old one) otherwise you will be locked out again.

If you have an out of date email address linked to your account, then you won't receive the new password. If that's the case then you'll need to email me (dave @liverpoolway.co.uk) or send me a tweet @theliverpoolway and I'll update your password manually.

Any other problems or questions just let me know.

Thanks

Dave

Woo! This kinda feels like an old school type of signing: a signing done without too many rumours going around before it was a done deal. Even though, of course, there's been quite a few articles about him the last weeks... No deals can be kept in the dark these days. I guess it just feels refreshing with a swift signing versus the signings that take months back and forth before they are concluded.

Old school fee definitely. Surprised Hull didn't ask for £20m odd. He's only 23.

We've been linked with Robertson ever since Sessegnon chances faded.

No reason he can't be around the level of a 'Bertrand' which will be ok , and give us the option of using Milner back in midfield.

Great option to have and all. Fuck I badly wish we had got Milner years ago.

Hard to gauge the reaction of Hull fans as they're all currently in bits at the prospect of losing Tom Huddlestone but this fella reckons we've got a real player on our hands:

"Robertson as a left back isn't a loss - only got one foot, cant cut out a cross and constantly getting drawn into wrong positions - Tom is a bad loss though at least he could pass the ball, if we're relying on Meyler were going to be ****ed royally - his passing ability is pathetic"

Milner's old school enough to leave dead rats in this kid's locker and to slash his tyres.

He played Casper in Kes and Billy Elliot in Billy Elliot. Mans a poofter. But what a player.

Typical of our scouting policy that.

Anyway, good to have a Scottish international in our ranks again. Some of our best sides have always had one, be it David Speedie or Charlie Adam.
