Excellent going forward, such a good defender at the back. Great engine, if Riise had 3 lungs, this guy has four. He may not have a silky smooth technique (which to some people the only thing to look for), but he doesn't need it because he picks the right option almost everytime and is very intelligent. The chances created, his loads of direct and indirect assists prove this. Absolute bargain.

He’s got massive balls and it’s the reason he generally makes the right decision every time he’s on the ball.  I like that he’s not afraid to run at people with the ball anywhere down the flank.  He’s deceptively quick as well.

I think you’ve had too many pints.  He was probably our third best player after Mane and Fabinho.  He was literally driving the team forward by himself at times and was exceptional defensively again.

He had one of his night and day performances, 1st half everything was down our right, second he was roaming forward.  Excellent defensively all day.

 

it must be tactical.  There’s too many halves where he doesn’t do much as look to go forward.

I disagree, there's not a great deal that can be done about the crosses, they were going to the right places but they were packing their box out with players, hard to get a head on the end of it when you're outnumbered 3 to one. 

 

Corners could have been better, but same thing applies really. Hard to find that perfect spot vs the bus parkers.
