Mayweather - McGregor

the only compelling argument I've seen that Conor can win is that "It's his destiny".

He's bigger, stronger, longer reach, younger, will be heavier, punches much harder, can take twice the punch his opponent can give, faster, and Paulie Malignaggi's bruised face says that he can hurt a champion boxer.

Not saying he will win, but he's not just a slogan.

He has had many professional fights, just not Ines restricting other body parts. But yes, it's boxing and Mayweather, even if he had had one fight in four years and is 41, must be the favourite. It's not as far fetched as if the fight was the other way around though. That would obviously be a 15 second death for Mayweather.

There are two likely outcomes. 1) Mayweather runs around, and bores his way to a points victory. 2) Connor knocks him out.

Or Mayweather lands at will and makes a mess of Conor's face.

Yeah, as Conor said "If this was a real fight you'd be dead already!"

The problem with that is that He has fought against people almost twice the size of Mayweather, with almost no padding on their fists, and taken a torrent of punches and still not been knocked out. Mayweather has no punching power.

No idea if you watch UFC or not, you might well, but you shouldn't think of Connor as somebody who is a baby going in to a match with a Tiger. He's an experienced, multi-weight champion who eats people like Mayweather for breakfast. The idea that Mayweather will knock the fuck out of him is not a smart one, in my view.

You're in the minority. I think Conor is ace, but he's not a boxer.

Most knowledgeable boxing and MMA fans I know think that he has no chance.

I believe it's going to be a boring win for Mayweather. That's pretty which where everybody in the world is at, I think. I'm saying the only other reasonable shout is that Connor knocks him out with a hard punch. I wouldn't bet against that happening. He's a very smart guy, who will need just one opening and one chance to land that heavy punch. Once he does, who knows what can happen. But for me, I'm sticking with the safe, boring, defensive running from Mayweather. I'd say that the chances of him being knocked out by Mayweather are slim to none.

I guess they'll just have to have a fight about it.

Who are you, Mcgregor's Bundini Brown?

"punches much harder, can take twice the punch his opponent can give, faster,"  Fuckin hell.
