Spurs are the team most on the precipice, that's for sure.

Levy's choices of managers have been erratic at best. This is the same man who gave us Tim Sherwood, after all. So if Pochettino goes they could be in serious trouble.

If he makes another bad managerial choice (and I don't see him luring someone like Simeone) they will drop like a stone. Kane will be gone, no question. And right behind him will be Alli, Son, Alderweireld, Eriksen, etc.

Really hope they're the ones to go. And then Real Madrid do us a favour and hire Pochettino. (And while you're at it, Madrid, go and finally buy De Gea already as well.)

Pochettino's shit record in European competitions could be what holds him back from a proper top job imo.

GOOD FOR THE BRANDT?

Julian Brandt, who has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Bayern Munich for the best part of 12 months, now looks set to extend his stay with Bayer Leverkusen.

His current deal expires in 2019 and it was believed he'd leave the club for the €12.5million release clause in his deal this summer but the player now wants to stay with Die Werkself.

LIVERPOOL IN FOR BRAZILIAN LUAN

Off to Yahoo Sport now, and our old friend Duncan Castles. Castles claims that Liverpool are in talks with Gremio for forward Luan.

There’s not much to find fault with here. Luan is young, exciting, the reigning South American Player of the Year and has a reported release clause of €18m. Why the heck wouldn’t you try and get involved?

We do appreciate the snide in this paragraph from Castles:

‘Liverpool have had significant success recruiting, then selling on, South American forwards during Fenway Sports Group ownership of the club, seeing first Luis Suarez then Philippe Coutinho establish themselves as the club’s best footballer before taking club record transfer fees from Barcelona for both.’

Talks continue over Dortmund's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has been in Dortmund with the club's head of recruitment

If Aubameyang gets done, Dortmund want to replace him with Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud

Arsenal have had a second bid for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rejected by Borussia Dortmund.

The bid of 50m euros (£43.64m) was made by the Premier League club on Wednesday and was turned down immediately.

It has previously been suggested Arsenal would include Olivier Giroud in any deal but Wednesday's bid was purely a cash offer for Aubameyang.

We're definitely short in terms of creativity or that bit of brilliance to win a game.

The City game appears to be an anomaly because they came at us. Our midfield is full of athletes now. Not one of them has the craft that Coutinho brought to the team. Maybe Lallana at a push, who created a bit against Swansea.

Now Coutinho has gone, we have to rely on our forward 3 even more than before. The drop off from Firmino, Mane and Salah to the rest is vast.

If we can't get a similar creative spark to Coutinho in, we need to improve the cover to the front 3. Or even have other viable first team options.

I think we should go in for Aubameyang if the (relatively) low asking price is accurate. Get Leon Bailey too while he's still relatively cheap. He strikes me as being the next Dembele type of player, who could move to a top team in 2-3 years for a big fee.

If not these players, someone still needs to come in. Who's of a decent standard. The front 3 will have off days. We need more quality options.
