Would anyone take Luiz at £20-25m? I can’t see him going for much more than that especially since Conte’s seemingly fucked him off. He was brilliant last season and he’s better than anything we’ve got. An interesting idea would be to sign him as a CDM he’s always looked class when he’s played there and played brilliant against Tottenham earlier in the season when playing there. Seems the type to bring a squad together aswell, they all seem to love him. He’s also a character which our team severely lacks, they’re all boring, clean cut Nivea boys.

 

I’d personally sign him because even as a centre back I’ve always rated him, with hindsight we should have went all in for Christensen in the summer, I remember a few on here mentioning him, he looks like he’s going to go all the way to top.

I would not. Signing players om their way down, which I think he is, is very rarely a good idea. Exceptions are those with exceptional character/mentality, and I’m not convinced Luiz fits that description.

 

Plenty of younger, cheaper (wages included) and probably better options out there I’m sure.

One things for sure, you're not getting one of the best centre backs in the league for that price, which David Luiz is.   Much better player than VVD and look at the grotesque prices banded about for him.

The only reason I’m saying I think it’ll be for that much is that by the end of the season he’ll be 31, 1 year left on his contract and if Conte gives him the Costa treatment, he may not play again all season.
