Le Tour 2017

Started yesterday with what I view as a boring time trial. Cant abide watching TT's and they do absolutely nothing for me although I understand the effort required.

Hopefully today's 200km ride should whet my appetite. Programme due to start on EuroSport at 11, hope they dont fucking talk for an hour before the stage gets underway.

Some favourites and outsiders to win the Tour? Froome, Porte, Quintana, Aru, Bardet, Fuglsang?

My olds love it but have no interest in the actual sporting side of it, they just love watching the French countryside.

Although I want Froome to win again, it'd be nice if there was a little bit of competition and it gets down to the last few races.

I'll be surprised if Froome wins this year, from my recollection its not set up to suit him that much.

Can't beat Le Tour winding through the French countryside though, one of the sporting events of the year for me. They're absolute lunatics....and so are the cyclists.

tedious, though the scenery is nice.  A few of my mates ride some of the mountain stages before the start of the Tour, then they hang around drinking wine and smoking baguettes watching it for a few weeks.  Then they come back and bore the ring off me about it for three months.  I would quite like there to be a cataclysmic event during it this year.
