He should have never played for us again when Klopp hooked him after 42mins against Madrid.

He’s certainly not the player we thought we were getting - box to box dynamic midfielder wearing Gerrards No.8 shirt.

Seen a stat earlier on twitter saying he’s got 7 goals and 5 assists in all his time here.
And as for his cult following that’s another bonus when he gets fucked off

they can go support whatever side he joins.

A few whispers tonight that Klopp is interested in Sander Berge from Sheffield United. AC Milan are meant to be monitoring him too. According to Twitter, he was a level above everyone else in Sheff Utd’s game tonight. But, he’s another with a fairly concerning injury record.

Meanwhile at Code's gaff...

Sander Berge is a strange one, not that I have followed him closely, but Im a bit lost at what he’s supposed to be good at.

But a lot of clubs have him in their sights.

Just take it out of his hands and get rid.

Yup. Whore him out to whoever is interested, get some kind of an offer and tell him he is not in our plans.

But knowing the fraud, he will stay for the whole season claiming he is injured. He is a fraud - worked hard to get his career up to the level of Liverpool and knows he cannot go any higher so started to earn the easy money. No fucking effort on the pitch whatsoever.

The only time he's really given it a go was a bit in the middle of the season just gone when he was 1st negotiating that contract and his agent started crying about him not being valued. Then he got injured again.

He's played 50 games in all comps over the last 2 seasons. So a thiago style appearance record.

Uhmmm...not for me then.

Going back to Naby, would be interested to know his appearance record and performances compared pre and post him collapsing after playing for Leipzig.

My initial memories of him was this player that was all energy and everywhere but for us he looks jaded half the time.

Lose to United and we are starting to look a right bloody mess

It's definitely a high pressure game. A draw would be a disaster too. It shows how far they've fallen that it's probably one of the few away games I'd be confident of us in at the moment.

I've mentioned it a few times in other threads, but Salah really needs to do a lot more, particularly with Mane now gone. He's playing fine, but 'fine' isn't good enough for a player of his ability who is probably our highest paid player of all time. The midfield issues will be a lot less of a worry if we actually start scoring a few. Hopefully Monday will be the start of a big improvement from him.

Surely this would finally convince everybody that Klopp’s recent protestations are just PR bollocks. We only want to sign the “right profile” of midfielder “for now and for the future” and the name we land on is Sander fucking Berge.

The right profile means cheap as chips and low wage. Because Berge is injury prone, and frankly nowhere near the top of the list when compared against other midfielders who have been sold or are still available this summer.

We’re like a millionaire skinflint boasting to his billionaire neighbor that our Ford Kia is better than his Lambo because it’s more fuel efficient.

He's 24.

Agree with this; where is the all action No 8 who scored/assisted, and was prone to yellows, and the odd red card? I know he's playing a different role, but he's like an imposter. There's been the odd flash of quality, but he's far too inconsistent - and too often injured.

There is a player there somewhere....but we're not seeing it enough. I wouldn't be disappointed of he went.
