I was expecting a lot of this from him but unfortunately for him the Premier league is tough and he's not suitable.

Sadly all that shows is that he cant tackle and relies on lucky deflections to win a ball.

The best bit about it is it wasn’t painfully obvious last season we should cut the cord. The writing was seriously on the wall in his first year here, but I can understand giving him a second and the opportunity to turn it around. Total waste giving him a 3rd season and hoping things would be different though. Even with ‘vertical pass’ stats to die for.

Lucas? he started slow and suddenly got a hell of a lot better.

Lucas was about 19 though when we signed him wasn't he - coming in from maybe one season in the top flight in Brazil. Keita was supposed to be a leading player for a top of the table team in Germany. And as much as a liked Lucas, I don't think he ever got to the level we all were told to expect from keita.

Imagine how good Aguero would have been for City if he bothered to learn some English.

Haha! I just meant it showed a lack of character when he had a year to learn. I don’t think you can say Aguero shows any lack of character and application.

He's joined Morientes, Harry Kewell, Sean Dundee and Emily Heskey as the biggest of disappointments!

Genuinely thought he'd be a world beater - which is why I think we've all given him longer than normal to prove it. He needs to go - him, Grujic and Ox could get us 2 very good midfielders.

To be fair Heskey did notch 22 goals in one season for us. Not sure if that was the treble season or not.

It was - he was excellent that season and the start of the next. After we beat Bayern in that super cup match and England beat Germany 5-1 he went completely to shit and never recovered. Was like he started believing Evertonians' opinions overnight and had his confidence shattered.

You just know he will move to Leicester or something and rip it up for 3 weeks, leading to a Twitter meltdown, before disappearing into obscurity, and then turning up 15 years later in a Liverpool shirt for a Masters competition.

I agree.

Motionless and Kewell, yes!

Dundee wasn't that big a deal, was he?

Heskey was instrumental in our treble winning season, our return to the big time, and as a foil for Owen.

That's why he's seen as such a big disappointment now.

Blackburn in pre season.

That's about his level.
