He’s good enough technically he’s just absolutely shocking tactically.  It might just be that he’s never been required to do the specific things he’s being asked to do here.  I find when I watch him he’s too safe in attacking situations and too braindead/risky in defensive situations.  The self blindfolding and snooty dismissive opinions when he was shocking early on in the season are comical looking back now.

I don’t think it’s the level of German football being so poor I think it’s more the style/culture there and here.  It is obviously levels below here but I think you don’t get the absolute win at all costs Dyche/Allardyce/Mourinho style managers who are happy to concede 80% possession on the hope they soak up pressure and shithouse a mistake or bad refereeing decision.

He’s not going anywhere anyway.  We wouldn’t get half the fee we paid and what would be the point anyway.  He might still come good.  Plenty of great players have taken time to adapt.  Klopp will back his own ability to get the best out of players.  A player with such obvious technical ability won’t be cast aside so quickly.  Personally I reckon he’s been overloaded with information and he’s like a deer in headlights.  He’s overthinking everything, even when he’s playing those easy 5 yard passes it feels like he just wants some successive passes.

Agree. He looked loads better when he was in a midfield two next to Fabinho, because he's done that role before and knows how to play there.

If we had someone like Blazsczykowski in our squad to play right wing, I think we'd have seen more of the 4-2-3-1 this season.

Big fan of gliders too... Yaya Toure, Henry, Pires, Vieira were all fantastic gliders.

I took my lad to the game last night, it was his first time, unfortunately we were in the Southampton end to which he gave me no end of grief about. Once I heard Naby was playing I decided to pay close attention to him to see if he is worse on the TV than in real life.

I thought he was excellent last night so I didn't need to pay the extra attention to what he did. If we get this Naby till the end of the season then we will have a chance, a bloody good one at that.

Good second half in particular but we need to find a shape where we aren't totally open when he plays. It's becoming a trend that the midfield turns into swiss cheese when he's in the team.

Fab-wij-keita is too open

Hendo-Wij-milner too conservative

Need some kind of balance between the 2, maybe Oxlade-Chamberlain will help things eventually.

What's happened to Shaqiri?

He ate Klopps dunkin donut and has never forgiven him.
