Started as a joke 6 months ago that we were signing him for 35m (when that seemed like a ridiculous amount of money but now just looks normal) but now looks like it's actually happening.

Never seen him do anything in a match, where ive thought, yeh there is a good player there. Infact all i remember when i think of him is him standing on a touchline with a digiboard above his head when he's about to come on.

 

If it was 10 mill as a squad player id be for it, but it seems a complete waste of money for a player who isnt good enough for a poor Arsenal side.  So its a No from me.

He's a terrible centre mid imo. I don't think he's stupid although the recent England game made him look clueless. I just think his best attributes are power, pace and dribbling. If he had played exclusively in centre mid as a professional I think he would probably be okay there. He hasn't though and now he's 23. We shouldnt be signing him as an experiment to play him there. If we sign him it should be as cover to Mane and Salah and potentially as a more attacking option than Clyne at full back.

 

The prices that have been mentioned especially with a year to go on his contract I wouldnt go there. We seen clearly last season though without a genuine wide player like Mane we go to pot. We had a similar issue under Rodgers. Having 3 wingers would be massive to our tactics so I could see Klopp going for him if he sees him as a winger.
