Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

It was obviously bad the way he was writhing in pain, when players feign injury they do 10 roll overs, his legs stayed against the floor and the rest of body writhed in agony and he looked gutted, it’s awful luck for the lad. Hopefully it’s just a bad sprain or twist that keeps him out for a few months because if it’s ACL his whole game could change. Despite the advances in science and medicine it’s still a career changing injury, especially them explosive types like Ox. I’m genuinely devastated for him.

With Can and now Oxlade-Chamberlain (presumably) out for the rest of the season that's our two best midfielders gone.

Really need to wrap up the rest of them in cotton wool now and save them for the CL final, assuming we can finish off Roma in the second leg. If we start with Henderson, Wijnaldum, and Milner we're just about OK. If one of those three gets injured, then it looks pretty grim. Maybe Trent goes into midfield? Or Woodburn comes in, if he's recovered from that knock in the youth game a month back?

Of course goes without saying that hopefully Ox will recover quickly. Has developed into a really important player for us.

Neither Can nor OC are our best midfielders and we actually looked much better when Gini came on,but there is a worrying lack of cover and ability to change much in the middle of the park. The pressure once again falls on our front three.

Gini-Henderson-Milner look like they’re going to have to be playing quite a bit till the end of the season. What’s the news with Can, he likely to play again this season? We could do with him coming back ASAP. We haven’t got much depth left CM.

The worst confirmed.

Zlatan recovered in seven months, so best case scenario he won’t be back until Christmas this year. Such a shame as he’s been one of our most consistent and best performing players in the past month or so. I have a bad feeling re how this could impact us.

Bit of a vague statement. Doesn't mention the specific injury but doesn't hint at the need for surgery either.

A shame for him as he'd been playing well. His ability to carry the ball from midfield gave the front 3 time to find space and cause havoc. Gini did this very well last night too, but he'll need to do more of that in the coming games.
