I saw yesterday that Frank de Boer is being linked with the vacancies at both Palace and Southampton. Apparently he is now close to a deal with Palace. I think the Southampton job would be a better fit because his preferred style of play seems better suited to them than Palace. His approach is all about patience and possession whereas Palace have more players who are instinctive and explosive.

Yes. I think it would mean an overhaul at Palace while only tinkering at Southampton.

The opposite of modern football is shite.

Huddersfield honour ticket pledge

Huddersfield Town chairman Dean Hoyle has honoured his pledge to enable thousands of fans to watch the club's Premier League home games for little more than £5 next season.

Terriers owner Hoyle promised in 2010 that all fans who had held season cards throughout his time as chairman would pay £100 for their season card if the club reached the Premier League.

David Wagner steered Huddersfield back to the top flight for the first time in 45 years following a penalty shoot-out win in last month's Championship play-off final.

"Over 4,000 Town fans who have had season cards for the entirety of Dean Hoyle's tenure as chairman will receive mail from the club this week," Town said on their official website.

Its a great gesture but as a club, their expectations are lower and know they'll likely be another one season wonder like blackpool.

That is friggin awesome dude!

Great, isn't it? Imagine being a player and seeing the fans go to that much effort. The Klopp effect, I'm sure.

Gerry Armstrong is one of the best commentators out there, he should do the Sky Sports Premier League coverage not just La Liga.

He is a cut above Tyler,Darke, Ratboy and the rest of the wage thieves that Sky employ to cover the PL, He has a cushy gig at the moment can't see why he would want to join the rest of the bellends back at the ranch

Christ all mighty Glenn Hoddle is one almighty thick cunt

Agree, what the fuck was he going on about there, saying Can's foot was just as high. That's because Emre was winning the ball and the other lad was trying to snap Can's knee ligaments you daft twat.
