Can’t say I agree with this. I’m sure the fire brigade did the best they could.

Nah thats just crazy talk. Not that it would ever be a factor anyway but how were the fire brigade to know who was in there anyway?

Plenty of blame to go around for Grenfell but surely the Firefighters who fought the blaze are at the bottom?

Wouldn't even have them on the list. I haven't seen the comments on that tweet (I'll look now) but I hope not a single person is agreeing

Yeah pretty much everyone saying she is chatting shit.

Have to question Channel 4 for giving such ridiculous views air-time.

She's a titled campaigner and the mother of Stephen Lawrence. When she speaks out, the media tend to listen and relay what she says.

TBH, I find her statement a little staggering.

Yeah but you would think someone would pull her to one side and have a word.

It's a load of cobblers and she should be called out on it , there is fuck all chance that a single fire officer gave a single thought to the colour or race of any of the people in those flats. What she had to go through with Stephen was absolutely awful but it doesn't give her the right to make amazingly offensive claims with absolutely no evidence.

On the disaster generally there is getting more than a whiff of cover-up around the matter with all of the stories about it revolving around fraudsters in the flats or whether the fire brigade did their jobs properly & not a dicky-bird about the local council or the people behind the cladding or any mention of whether the government and charities are still delaying donated and due funds to the victims.

I love how the headline from the investigation will be that there would have been fewer casualties if the fire brigade evacuated sooner.

The fact they cladded the building in what amounts to a flammable straight jacket is a bit further down the list. The fact that Tory austerity and a penchant for deregulation is even further down the list is even more telling. Perhaps there might not have been any fire or casualties in the first place if, you know, Tories didn't Tory.

It's a major piss take against those who risked their own lives and the resulting traumas, even more so for the 72 people who died and those fighting for justice.

I guess we should all come back in nearly 30 years time as that's usually the going rate for getting any kind of justice in this country
