Yeah that's what impressed me most, both of them were so quick in chasing back and stopping the attacker. None of them were going to give an inch. They do seem to complement each other perfectly. They are a joy to watch.

Pretty amazed at how good he has been, and how a centre back with his attributes was allowed to mill around at Celtic and Southampton for the better part of his 20s. Can't say I watched much of him earlier on in his career -- is this a case similar to Drogba, say (who joined Chelsea at 26), where it just took awhile for the decision making etc. to all just come together?

He was class at Celtic. He has everything as  CB.
