Klopp on @VirgilvDijk: "He's a good centre-half! His combination of skills is special. This mix makes him pretty good. We try to rest him but it's difficult. He takes his breaks during games!"

Cheers mate, that's a brilliant listen. What a top, top class bloke.

As well as their ability this really is an exceptional bunch of top fellas.

Have you read Bring The Noise? The Honigstein book about Klopp.

He talks about even back when Klopp was at Mainz there was incredible attention to detail re the character of players. They'd have a proper sit down with Klopp and, presumably, if he thought they were a bit of a bell he wouldn't sign them.

Class, doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I think that's why we overlook what would sometimes appear to be open goals in the transfer market, because he's already vetted their character and mere ability isn't enough.

Clearly. He said in an interview once that when he talked to players before we song them he doesnt talk about football. We already know they can play football, otherwise I wouldn’t be talking to them, I want to know their character. Or something along those lines.

Fuckity fuck.

I posted on the thiago thread bein sports are saying Liverpool have told them they expect it to be an ACL and out for the season - 7-8 months. Awaiting official confirmation, which I guess is means waiting for the full scan results. I'm guessing they already have some type of initial diagnosis.

Could Bein just be taking a gamble with that? Why would the club brief them?
