Tim Paine’s voice behind the stumps, is doing my swede in.

He always makes the names end in a Y. They were interviewing him yesterday and he said Broady, Woakesy and Stokesy....the massive bell.

They do that in Manchester too, only the names all end in an 'eh'.

Fuck me why did the umpires review that run out what the hell is the umpire looking at ?when the ball comes in ?

Same happens in rugby these days. Unless a player is completely untouched when they score a try, they're always going to the replay to check the ball touched down.

The footballification of cricket crowds at England games gets worse every year.

I hated that 'don't take me home' song in France, especially since French beer is rubbish.

They do some good, funny stuff but then also have some annoying traits, such as that song. I try to avoid the party stands when I go but at times they do make me laugh.

Best way, mate.

I don't want any game to be quiet, just don't do the footy songs since they're usually the shit ones.

Yeah that’s it, leave the footy stuff out of it. The Barmy Army have some great songs when they’re touring, at the home games it’s just loads of bantz lads trying to join in.

Englands day. Excellent innings from Burns, not only for the runs but for sticking it out and carrying his bat for the whole day. Decent innings from Root who had to work hard after Roy went early, also a very good innings from Stokes. All about what lead we can take into the second innings now, should be looking for at least 80-100 from here, 150 if we bat well tomorrow.
