Nice one thanks for that, I only mentioned it because I’ve been to Spain numerous times and never seen a sniff of it, I know you play (as opposed to a complete spectator like me) so just wondered if you were missing it really.

I am, mate. But the truth is I stopped playing about four or five years before moving here.

 

I went back to the UK last summer, just for a week or so, and took a trip down to my local club on a Saturday whilst there was a game on. Bumped in to about dozen people I used to play with. Just spent the afternoon there having a few pints, chatting to old friends, watching the game. Felt it then, mate. Really hankered for a game then.

 

The plan this summer was to spend all of August in the UK. Half of my work stops in July and August, as is the case for lots of people in Spain, especially in the south (It is 40 degrees after all) and the rest I can do from anywhere with a wifi connection. I had planned to speak to some people at the club in advance and try and play a few games. 

 

We're still a long way off, but obviously I'm preparing for it not happening.

Have to say Rashid has turned into a superb limited overs bowler....Just a shame they can’t tempt him back to Test cricket to give it another go as a brilliant keg spinner would be huge for England
