Great game with England in the box seat. Buttler starting to realise his massive potential in the toughest format. Curran has been very impressive too.

 

Watching this series, it's funny how much more enjoyable cricket is with a good pitch. Forget about ensuring 5 days, give me 3.5-4 days of scores barely reaching 300 every single time.

 

I'd love to see the tv figures for this series and the upcoming Indian tour to Australia. I'm guessing they'd be higher than usual, given how competitive this team is away from home right now.

 

And to think they've got Jadeja in the wings should they go with two spinners. This team are in a good place right now and good to watch. Easily the best fielding side I've seen from India too.

He's been picked as a bowler for this test, so if Woakes returns perhaps Ali would replace a Batsman...but who? It's the openers most under pressure at the moment. Drop Jennings and have Bairstow open? Doesn't seem like a great option.

This England side is just bizarre, they’re all over the place, have no idea what their best 11 is and can’t bat to save their lives but they still have a smattering of good players who can win them a match.
