So this is apparently England's 1000th Test played. Suppose the average length of game is 4 days, that's 11 straight years of cricket being played!

Onto the game itself, from a neutral point of view, England looking like not posting a massive 1st innings score has set up the game, and by extension the series, very nicely!

Arguably the biggest innings of Kohli's career sometime later today (you'd imagine).

Not sure about it setting up the game nicely TAFKAAS. Quite likely that India put up 500, England collapse and it's all over by an innings by the end of the 4th day.

PS Was there any coverage of representatives from the Transplant Games before play resumed after lunch?

I got messaged by my sister to say my niece was there. Unfortunately today was the day our Sky seems to have gone on the blink so I missed it

I’ve just been dipping in and out of it. Didn’t see anything at lunch. Sorry.

Why would you think he’s a prick?

Never liked him mate, he’s always come across like he fancies himself as the Ronaldo of cricket. Came across as a right dick in the first innings as well, although I accept Root started that in the ODI series.

England making a mess of this tail dispatching now as well as fucking up chance after chance with Kohli.

Not really much they can do here with Kohli keeping the strike.

Seems to happen constantly , Cap'n , and it's up to us to stop him farming the strike as easily as he is. We are clueless in our bowling and field settings.

Having said that I would have settled for a first innings lead no problem after we were all out.
